Have you sold any copies of that album?! What kind of a question is that...foolish woman. She doesn't do herself any favours...I don't blame Jon for sounding tired, I'd be tired if I had to speak to her!!
Thanks for recording/uploading it Lawrie...and yes, what a strange version of Deus!

That Phoenix FM interview was quite good, thanks! These guys are great - bratwurst and pop music all the way! ;D

That is a weird version. But I don't know whether it's a bad thing. It felt abrupt to me and I wanted to hate it because that woman was so irritating. However, it might be a good single mix for those who haven't heard the band before. Thanks for the links etc.

Hmmm, I really don't like what they've done to it. There are big, jagged and noticeable 'seams' (to my ears) with how they've edited the track and it just sounds messy to me. Have you heard the official Radio Edit on the Deus Ex Machina CD single that's been available at the UK gigs? It will be available on the download single out next week if you haven't had a chance to hear that so far, but the official Radio Edit does the job of condensing the song into a shorter bitesize format just as well, while not losing any of the polish of the song and leaving jagged edges in places. Much, much better IMO, but of course if you haven't had the chance to hear the official radio edit yet then of course it's not fair as you've got no comparison to make between the two.

I think I love you a little bit Lawrie for uploading this.
VERY EXCITING JON, VERY EXCITING! Wow, she annoys me, especially her disbelief for pronouncing Amor Vincit Omnia correctly.
I'll admit I haven't actually listened to the official radio edit despite picking up a copy, so to my unknowing ear, this radio edit sounds... okay... I'll have to listen to the official version after my 1 and a half hours of soaps and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (bugger me I'm cool) and get back to you on this. But this edit sounds okay, it's very jumpy though, I'll agree with Lawrie on that.

I'm about to listen to this interview (many thanks, Lawrie) and I'm scared... Allo, few pictures and interview from Dingwalls hereI have a question about the last picture: what do these scribbles next to the song titles mean? I mean "blu", "red" etc? Which guitar goes when? I know it's probably a lame question, but it's the first time I see something like this

I think it's the guitars that they use, because they use different blue and red guitars, but I could be wrong.

Allo, few pictures and interview from Dingwalls hereThanks very much for sharing that, smead, good stuff. I missed this post earlier on today in my eagerness to tune in to Kerrang Radio for the Jon interview, so apologies for not noticing this interesting little nugget earlier on, and a belated hello and welcome to the forums! ;D

Every gig I've seen the band has all their guitrs on stage and each person picks up whichever guitar they need when they need it. So either it's changed or maybe it's just a chart for the band to use to remember what goes when...I've certainly seen guitar colour next to songs on personal set lists before.

They have a tech, isn't he keeping a tour blog?

On this tour? They have a tech, isn't he keeping a tour blog? Yep, but he didn't go to Europe with the band, so Paul and Jamie are going to do it now.
