If it was sean that wrote it, it'll just be because he hates a lot of people.

Just looking at my credits... Am I completely off, or does it seem that Paul Northfield took a Big step back from this album? According to the credits, the only songs he even touched were Apogee and DEM (some of the better ones, mind you , and the only other place he was mentioned was in the PRR thanks.

Yep, think you're pretty spot on with that assessment. As far as I know, this record has Jon pulling a lot more strings in the production camp than The Dark Third. I'm perfectly happy with that: I think one of Jon's main strengths is his attention to detail with production, and it's made for a cohesive album with him being the main man at the controls IMO.

I think you're right in that he was much less involved but I think you'd be wrong to assume that was all Paul stepping back, I think Jon has become a real studio-phile and prefers producing his own stuff these days, particularly on the electronic side of things...but he got Paul N's help in for the more 'rocky' tracks still.

I'm not complaining, I think both of them have done absolutely amazing jobs. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed.

Ta for the heads-up, NM. Seconded! I hope it wasn't in the first 6 minutes of the show. I also hope it's before 11.50 cos I have a seminar at 12.

I hope it wasn't in the first 6 minutes of the show. It wasn't. ;D I also hope it's before 11.50 cos I have a seminar at 12. I'm trying to record the part with PRR/Jon (and presumably Deus as their Track Of The Week), so I'll put it up somewhere if I manage to get it.

Cheers ;D
They also have 'listen again' so it should all be fine.

Cheers ;D They also have 'listen again' so it should all be fine. All good, it's on before the crucial cut-off time I think PRR are half glad that the Paris gig got cancelled, they get an extra days rest (and Jon still sounded pretty tired).

It's here for anyone who wants it: www.sendspace.com/file/fk67jdYep, Stu, I reckoned Jon sounded absolutely knackered as well, and it wasn't the greatest bit of interview footage I've ever heard. Still a bit unsure as to whether that was daft questions from the host, or Jon being a bit nervous/tired. Also, the version of Deus they played wasn't too clever either - it wasn't either of the Radio Edit or the Clean Album Version from the Deus CD single - it just seemed like the people at Kerrang had chopped out the bits they wanted for time/whatever reasons, but it did sound a lot more crude and butchered than either of the two official edits to the regular album version of the song.
